There’s been a lot of work going on since the last week of March. Benchwork. Track. Wiring. Even some new electronics.
I’ve been trying to tell the story in order, and there will be additional posts that follow the story line, but I was too excited with what happened today to wait.
The Monument City Terminal Division is no longer just a dream, no longer a glimmer in my eye.
It’s real.
It exists.
It runs.
And you can see it here. (Apologies for the bouncy video. It’s tough to film with a phone and play with a throttle at the same time.)
To be sure, there is a ton of work to be done to make it look like something more than wood, foam, and ceiling tiles. But the first run is a milestone worth documenting.
